YURITZI GOVEA

 

Yuritzi was born and raised in Zihatanejo, Mexico. She started her performing journey at 6 years old, growing up performing Jazz and regional dances professionally in different cities across Mexico.

 

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance performer on scholarship from Colegio Nacional de Danza Contemporanea in Queretaro, Yuritzi moved to New York City in 2008 to continue her studies at the Martha Graham school of Contemporary Dance.

 

She has worked with numerous choreographers and has performed in major theaters in New York, throughout the United States as well as internationally.

Yuritzi has been a member of Edgar Cortes Dance Theater since 2009.
